Zugspitze
For the best Zugspitze experience, you are best coming to Tyrol.
Reutte lies in the border region between Austria and Bavaria and is close to Germany's famous Zugspitze mountain.
At 2,932 m above sea level, the Zugspitze is Germany's highest mountain and, as such, is one of the most popular scenic mountains in the Alps.
On a clear day, you can enjoy views of mountain peaks ranging from 2000 m to
3000 m (as well as the only 4000 m peak) across four countries stretching as far as the Eastern Alps.
You can reach the summit directly from Ehrwald on the Tiroler Zuspitzbahn cable car.
The ascent in this 100-passenger cable car with amazing panoramic views is an experience in itself. The cable car glides quickly up the mountain, climbing 1,725 meters in just ten minutes.
